"You have to keep me updated while you're in Israel next year! I want to know what you're doing every single day. . . I'm serious!"
This, or some variation of it, has been said to me countless times over the past couple of weeks in talking to my friends and family about my upcoming trip to Israel.
Well people, guess what? I've come up with what I think is the most simple way to not only please you all, but to also have a little fun myself. My plan is to blog, and to do my best to post as often as possible. I can't promise my best writing, but I'll do my best to post pictures, itineraries, stories, and anything else I can. I hope that works for you!

Oh, and I suppose I should explain my reasoning behind picking "boxertakesisrael" as my url....
I have spent a ridiculously large number of hours working out at Cappy's Boxing Gym since I first started there in 7th grade. Something I have spent a lot of time on, with the help of the incredible coaches there, is incorporating boxing principles (like confidence, focus, teamwork, strength, persistence, communication, and body alignment) into my daily life.
When people ask me why I'm as calm and confident as I am about spending the next year in a foreign country the answer is clear to me: the tools that I have because of my work at Cappy's Boxing Gym has given me the ability to approach big and scary things- like moving to a foreign country- calmly.
I am 100% positive that at least one thing I have gained from Cappy's will be present in every single adventure I have over the next 10 months.
And thus, "boxertakesisrael" was born.
